Rest Haven Retirement Home
Rest Haven
was founded in 1925 by the Walton Turner family as an interdenominational Christian Home.
In 1969 Rest Haven was registered as a Charity with the Charity Commission (Registration Number 250919).
As a registered charity, Rest Haven aims to provide accommodation for 34 male or female people aged over 65, regardless of their individual means.
The Trustees of Rest Haven serve voluntarily and the day to day management of the home is provided by a fully experienced manager and qualified staff team. We have awake night staff and a senior member of staff sleeping in every night.
Residents’ medical, therapeutic, cultural, spiritual, emotional and social needs will be respected.
Rest Haven is registered to provide personal care for up to 34 older people. We have a Christian ethos in our home but we do cater for all religious beliefs. We have a small chapel where daily services are carried out, this is optional for our Residents to attend.
The property is a large Victorian detached house situated just on the edge of Exmouth Town Centre ,and has a spacious car park with disabled bays. When you enter the house you will be greeted with our beautiful staircase which leads to the first floor. On entering the large hallway you will see that there are plenty of comfortable arm-chairs where residents and visitors can sit. All visitors who come into Rest Haven sign our visitor’s book.
From the upstairs front bedrooms there is a lovely view across the estuary to Star Cross and beyond. The gardens to the front and the rear of the property are well stocked with trees, shrubs and plenty of rose bushes can be seen along the borders.
In the main corridor we have room which is used for district nurses/doctors or other professional visits.
