Park View Residential Home
Park View Residential Home is a family run, elegant, spacious and comfortable residential care home based in Morecambe with views of Regent Park.
We are an independent, family run home for 11 residents, offering the warmth and security of a family atmosphere; the care is excellent and we aim to make our residents happy.
Personal attention and care
We treat each person as special and are sensitive to residents’ requirements for privacy in a community setting whilst also understanding the need for companionship and support; we try to put a ‘joie de vivre’ in people’s lives.
We take over all the daily chores – cooking, cleaning, laundry, maintenance as well as assisting with all personal care.
We organise any medical services that are required and can take over the ordering and dispensing of various medicines as required.
We welcome and value any input from residents’ families and friends and like to have their involvement in our day to day life including going on outings with us.
Visiting is at any time and we have an open door policy to management and are happy to talk to anyone at any time.
Relaxed setting
Park View Residential Home is in a lovely location in Morecambe opposite Regent Park. It has attractive grounds and the garden has sitting areas.
The house is welcoming, light and airy with wide hallways, spacious rooms and bedrooms and is always clean and fresh.
There are 11 bedrooms. All rooms have their own TVs, call points, telephone points, wash hand basins and are decorated well.
All bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas are fitted with call bells and there is always sufficient staff on duty to care for our residents.
Even though we are a non-smoking home, we do have a separate smoking area for those residents who still need the pleasure of the habit, we also have stair lifts to the first and second floors.
All our rooms are single rooms but we have some very large ones looking onto the Park which are also suitable for married couples or friends who wish to share.
Quality care for your loved ones
We have had consistently good ratings from the official Inspectorate (now the Care Quality Commission) and are members of local and national Care Associations.
For the last 7 years we have offered top quality care and a good standard of life for our elderly residents; we know that they must retain control over their lives and choice in their daily routines.
There is a happy and comfortable atmosphere with a good standard of life in retirement for the older people who need help with daily living as they find it increasingly difficult to manage at home with their household routines.
The well being, safety and security of our residents are of paramount importance to us. All staff are required to have a clean Enhanced Criminal Record Disclosure when applying for a position at Park View. Staff are all trained to the minimum of NVQ level 2 with most staff now having Level 3 and some at Level 4. Training in all areas of care are ongoing.
