Limber Oak

Limber Oak is a home for seven people with learning disabilities and special needs.  It is a two storey building but built on a slope, therefore is presented as two bungalows.  it is set in 2.5 acres of garden giving space and freedom in a safe environment.

The home is at Crookham Common near Newbury and is set on a lane that is 0.5 miles long with no through traffic for easy walking.  The amenities of both Thatcham and Newbury are very close.  There are good opportunities for days services and leisure activities.

The house is highly staffed to provide 1:1 care for most of the day plus 2:1 for activities as necessary.

Just Homes operates 6 care homes for adults with learning disabilities throughout Surrey and Berkshire.

Our aim is to help our service users create their own home to enable them to live a normal life.  We encourage them to develop new skills and maintain present skills to as high a level of independence as each is capable.

Our mission statement is…

‘Just Homes is committed to providing homes where people with learning disabilities are sure of love, trust and respect.  To be helped to have control over their own lives and to contribute to a true community in which everyone helps everyone else to give equally, by learning to value what others give before valuing themselves.’
