Heversham House is a Residential Care Home with a distinct difference. This magnificent period house not only offers superb residential and respite care within the spacious grounds, but also treats each and every guest as a member of this huge and heartfelt family.
Run by Mrs. Elizabeth Hayek along with her mother and sister, Isobel and Cynthia Wales, Heversham House truly is a ‘home from home’. The care given to all residents is of an exceptionally high standard and is given with respect, understanding and above all, a smile.
Set in the village of Heversham in heart of the South Lake District, the House benefits from great transport links and stunning scenery wherever you turn; from Morecambe Bay, to the sunset over Sedbergh.
Residents are encouraged to follow their own interests and hobbies in this happy, informal atmosphere, whilst retaining whatever routine they find most enjoyable.
When we founded Heversham House in 1988, we had one aim – to provide a home away from home with better care than was available elsewhere in the area. Since then, this has been our driving principle, ensuring that our happy, friendly atmosphere, clinical standards, amenities, environment, and the catering and daily activities we provide, continue to be of the highest standard.
The Heversham House ethos is very simple; a home should be exactly that.
We pride ourselves on providing our residents with a true home from home, where they may choose to enjoy privacy or a homely, social environment. A comfortable safe haven, that allows each family member to be heard, and each to have the care and attention they deserve.
In fact, our staff are encouraged not to think of Heversham House as a place of work, but more of a social, active atmosphere; a home. So we are committed to creating a happy, safe and stimulating environment of care where our residents are treated as individuals. We do this through:
