It is our belief that whatever your care needs and personal requirements you should receive the highest standard of care. For the extra security and comfort of our residents, their friends and family we have a 24 hour nursecall system in all public rooms and bedrooms, and CCTV in all public areas.

We are very pleased to announce we have maintained our band 4 rating from Nottingham County Council.
Aldercar is a 28-bed purpose built residential care home located in a prominent and peaceful area of Hucknall, Wood Lane, the home is set in a large established garden and being close to all the local amenities that the small market town of Hucknall has to offer.  We strive to create a homely environment at Aldercar Residential Care Home and provide all the comforts of good food, good company and friendly staff, in a calm and restful atmosphere. The home also has excellent amenities, including comfortable lounges in which residents can relax. Designed to enable those we care for to maintain their independence in a safe environment.

Mealtimes are, to many, the highlight of the day and all of our meals are made of fresh produce, prepared by our own chefs and catering teams. We undertake to provide a nutritious and balanced diet around your preferences; we like our residents to have a say in what they eat as they did at home.

The management team and staff of Aldercar have a very close working relationships with local GPs and their surgery staff, the Dementia Outreach Team and community nursing team and we can always call on them for support and guidance. There are regular visits from dentists, chiropodists and optician and the staff will accompany residents to medical appointments away from the home if a family member is not available. One of the highlights of the week for our residents is the visit from the hairdressers – not only do they cut, blow dry, set and perm ladies and men’s hair they provide a few of hours of local entertainment!
