Action Enviro Ltd is a small and friendly family firm based in the Sussex countryside. We’re experts in blocked drains, septic tanks, sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.
The company was started nearly 30 years ago by Rod and Sue Burke with the princely sum of £600. In the early days, it was just the two of them. Sue used to go out clearing drains with the high-pressure jet and Rod dealt with the septic tanks and sewage treatment plants. Not everyone’s idea of a romantic date, but Rod and Sue have now been married for 48 years.
Action Enviro is a bit larger now, although we’re not a large faceless firm. We like to treat you, our customer, as part of the family. When we carry out work at your home or business, we’ll take as much care as if it were our own.
Sue and Rod Burke are the Company Directors. Back in 1986 there were no mobile phones. Sue worked from the back room of the house (the “back office”) and Rod used to ring in for job updates from local phone boxes. We’ve already mentioned the highly romantic drain-jetting dates.
Trevor is Rod’s son, our Service Manager. He’s also been with us for 25 years, one of our most experienced engineers. Trevor has the messiest desk in the office and always comes back from jobs dirtier than everyone else. We think Trevor likes rolling around in mud.
Sarah is our Office Manager and has been married to Trevor for 15 years. She trained as a hairdresser and beauty therapist before making the glamorous move into drainage. Actually, you might have bumped into Sarah. She works part-time at the local pub.
