Carlisle Lodge Nursing Home is in the seaside resort of Eastbourne. The home provides person centred care in a comfortable safe environment for up to 20 residents.
Carlisle Lodge Nursing Home is an attractive, homely Victorian house set in lovely private gardens. The home retains many original period features and has been adapted to provide fit for purpose premises and equipment.
Carlisle Lodge is a family run nursing home. Long serving staff provide excellent continuity of care and staffing levels are above average. A trained nurse is on duty at all times.
Carlisle Lodge is owned by Diane Lawson who has been a nurse since 1985. Diane has been the Matron at Carlisle Lodge since 1990. Diane is supported by a team of trained nurses, care and ancillary staff.
Carlisle Lodge Nursing Home is adapted to provide a suitable environment for nursing care. All floors are accessible by lift. The garden and balcony are accessible by wheelchair.
The home has all equipment needed, such as electric profiling beds and hoists, to care for residents with limited mobility.
All floors have large shower rooms and there is a bath with an integral hoist.
All rooms have a TV and call bell system, and a lockable cabinet for medication.
The home has a recently refurbished television lounge, conservatory leading onto a balcony overlooking the garden, and a dining room.
All food is home cooked and there is always a choice, the home is able to cater for most special diets.
All laundry is dealt with in house.
A hairdresser attends fortnightly, and a chiropodist every 6 weeks
Residents can retain their own GP, or the home can arrange to register residents with a local GP.
Carlisle Lodge Nursing Home admits privately funded residents and those funded by NHS continuing healthcare
( CHC funding)
The home is able to admit residents for long term nursing or residential care, respite and convalescent care and palliative care.
There is a minimum stay of 2 weeks for respite or convalescent care.
