Shenstone House

Shenstone House is set within its own quiet mature garden; we are located in the idyllic village of Shenstone in the Worcestershire countryside, with the local town centre of Kidderminster being 3 miles away.
There are 14 single en-suite room’s, all corridors and communal area’s are carpeted and decorated in a manner that promotes a homely environment, toilets are easily accessible from all bedrooms as is the spacious bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and walk in shower room.

Within our home there is a commercial kitchen and laundry which are staff managed. Dining can take place in our dinning room’s or if preferred in the service users own room. Shenstone House provides a varied and homemade menu using fresh produce.

Special dietary requirements are also catered for                                  
The daily menu will be displayed on the notice board by the dining room.
Breakfast is served between 7.30am – 10.00am
Tea/Coffee & Biscuits at 11.00am
Lunch is served between 12.15pm – 1.30pm
Tea/Coffee & Biscuits/Cake at 2.45pm
Supper is served between 5.00pm – 6.00pm
Milky drinks & snacks at 7.30pm

Refreshments are available throughout the day and night.
There are two communal sitting rooms which are comfortably appointed to encourage residents and their guest to relax in. A no-smoking policy is operated for staff and visitors. Pets are considered on an individual basis.

Taking care of you is Shenstone House’s highest priority; the staff that look after you are thoroughly trained and will offer a high standard of care in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
All your Health and Care needs will be discussed with you and your GP if appropriate,  you may wish to look after your own medication or can be assisted by our staff.
We have two local G.P practices which are located in Kidderminster. N.H.S Chiropody is provided every 10 – 12 weeks, A private Chiropodist can be arranged if required but this is an extra cost to the individual. Optical services visit when requested and provide a competitively priced range of spectacles.

A dentist visit can also be arranged if required, this also is at extra cost to the individual, this will be discussed directly as needed.
The service user may choose to have private therapies funded by themselves. This is supported by the Home as long as deemed appropriate by the service users own G.P.
