Harbour Rise Rest Home
Harbour Rise Rest Home is situated in one of the prime positions in Torbay with panoramic views from the lounges and many of the bedrooms over the bay. The Picturesque harbour of Paignton and the shops and Goodrington sands are a short walk away.
Bedrooms
Harbour Rise has been designed with every comfort for the elderly in mind. All our bedrooms have toilet en-suite and many have shower facilities. Some of our bedrooms have a separate lounge and dining area as well as kitchens to provide tea and coffee making facilities, this has proved popular with residents and families.
Wheel chair access is available to every bedroom.
All bedrooms are single occupancy unless a double bedroom is specifically requested. Many of our rooms are very large and can accommodate double occupancy.
All rooms are fitted with a wireless communication system. Also bathrooms, showers and toilets have a Nurse Call installed and are planned with the elderly in mind.
Residents’ bedrooms are fitted with tv points and many have telephone points also. The rooms are all bright and beautifully decorated. They have beautiful new furniture, bathrooms and flooring following extensive renovation in the past three years. All bedrooms have an electric profiling bed where required.
There is a dedicated telephone line for residents to make and receive calls. The telephone number is 01803 558816.
Lounges
There are two bright lounges which have wonderful sea views, one has a small bar, not for profit, but to provide the residents with the facility to entertain their guests if they wish. Please be advised that the bar is not stocked unless we have an event, the alcohol is stored away. The bar often provides a focal point for socialising especially for events like Christmas Parties. Guests can visit Harbour Rise at any time.
The other lounge has a lovely large seated area but also a unique balcony which is easily accessed and provides a seating area for overlooking our gardens and the local harbour and beautiful sea views of Torbay. This lounge underwent a large renovation in summer 2016.
Dining Rooms
Harbour Rise Rest Home is lucky to have two dining rooms. One is south facing and nice and bright and it overlooks the large patio area.
The other dining room is soon to be renovated. Our plans are to create lovely facilities with a coffee and tea café area for residents and their families to enjoy.
Kitchen
Harbour Rise Rest Home has a very modern fitted kitchen with full facilities and we provide our residents with a high standard of home cooking. All diets are catered for.
Hairdressing Salon and Treatment Room
We have a lovely hairdressing Salon which is available to those staying as a resident at the home and also our daycare residents. We have two visits a week by Elaine and Linnie.
This room is also used for nail treatments and any other pampering requests.
