We offer excellent clinical and therapeutic care from nurses, physiotherapists, psychotherapists, counsellors, occupational therapists and care assistants to rehabilitate; spiritually, mentally and physically.

At Burrswood Health and Wellbeing centre our approach for nearly 70 years, is to transform lives through ‘whole person care’ – mind, body and spirit.

We have a professional team of compassionate, experienced and committed staff. They work together to deliver a wide variety of therapies at our wellbeing centre that supports guest and patients in reaching their goal.

We offer a range of health care, social care and wellbeing services including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, counselling, nursing care and chaplaincy at our wellbeing centre. Delivered in inpatient and outpatient settings and in our church, all located within a beautiful and tranquil environment in Groombridge in the heart of the Kent and Sussex countryside.

Burrswood was founded by Dorothy Kerin in 1948. As an organisation founded on Christian principles we strive to continue Dorothy’s mission in a way that is relevant in today’s modern world. We are welcoming to all; those of all faiths and those of none. Our facilities include:

• 40 Bedrooms in total
• 12 bedrooms are ensuite rooms for patients staying within the reablement unit
• 19 bedrooms are ensuite guest rooms with accessible bathrooms, profiling beds and set in an environment that is warm and welcoming, ideal for all guests and especially those with mobility challenges or those needing additional support.
• 9 further guest rooms, all with private bathrooms are set within the main house boasting character and charm. Perfect for visitors, family members, events attendees.
• The Church of Christ the Healer, where services are held regularly and all are welcomed. Find out more about our services or the Retreats on offer at Burrswood.
• Burrswood Cafe – Serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and Sunday lunches. Open 10am-4pm. Home cooked food, scrumptious cakes, take away teas and coffees
• Beautiful Gardens and grounds. A dog walker’s favorite! Grab a takeaway coffee from the café and enjoy exploring the stunning woodlands and grounds. If you want to stretch your legs there are maps for local walks available to download here or from the main reception and bookshop
